Toast-Winter Over Syndrome in Antarctica

I'm doing my best to imagine seeing the sun for the first time in 4 + months.  The AntarcticArctic blog post of August 20th, describes the experience and research about polar T3 syndrome or NO SUNLIGHT FOR MONTHS! (my emphasis).  According to the article, Frederick Cook in 1900 was the first to report this syndrome.
